What does a website cost?
The question that we most frequently encountered is how much does it cost for a website. And this is one of the hardest questions to answer. We believe that every client is different and has different set of requirements. Therefore we quote separately for every website in accordance to the client requirement. Unlike many other web designers, first of all we create a design brief and then fix a cost on that brief. That means the price you pay will be agreed before we start work and you get no surprises or budget over runs.
How long does it take to have a website designed?
The time frame will be according to the size of your web site and the complexity of site design. We will work within your time frame and inside your budget which we will agree with you at the outset.
What are the maintenance costs on a website?
Unlike other companies that levy a charge on a monthly basis there are no maintenance charges. The only cost you are likely to incur is for web hosting which we provide to all our clients FREE for the first year. In the second year we will charge according to the price specified in our design brief. We don’t hike up prices in year 2, 3 or 4 etc. Again you know exactly what you will pay.
I am currently hosted with another hosting company can I use my existing hosting?
In most cases you can use your existing hosting dependant upon its features.
How does a domain differ from a website?
An Internet domain name is only the address that is typed in when a user wants to access a site or certain data from the company who owns the domain name.
The website on the other hand is the entire collection of graphics, pages, texts and associated files which you see when you access a site, for example urbanprodigy.net is our domain, whilst all the graphics and information you see before can be labelled as the website.

What is Web Space?
For every website that you will want to have, then you will need to have a certain amount of files to make the site up.
The files will mainly comprise of HTML pages that will make up your website, depending on the type of site you want to create you will also have graphics, sound files and a host of other miscellaneous file types.
In order that these appear when your domain name is typed in, they need to be placed on a server that will bring up these files whenever they are called for (for example on the urbanprodigy.net system whenever a domain name is entered, the server will bring up the index.html file to show to the visitor).
Your web space is the amount of space you have been allocated on our servers for these files, the size of this web space depends on the package you choose.
